We believe in establishing a workable, enjoyable balance in the school day.
Sixth form students enjoy the opportunity to exercise more responsibility in helping to run the school through the houses and the prefect system. Sixth Formers have their own sixth form common room.
What will you learn?
Most pupils in years 12 and 13 have a choice of 10 A level subjects to choose from. Typically pupils study four of the subjects shown below in their Lower Sixth year, and continue with at least three in the Upper Sixth. We aim to give pupils a free choice of subjects as much as possible.

Students in year 11 already at the school and those applying from other schools choose their intended AS levels before their I GCSE examinations and confirm their choices once their I GCSE results are known.
Classes are rarely larger than 10, and often much smaller, and the atmosphere is open, friendly and conducive to good discussion and the development of interesting ideas.
The Sixth Form places new and very different demands on students, who are challenged with the freedom and responsibility of managing their own learning.
To help the pupils in Years 12 and 13 to make Higher Education study choices, representatives from various representatives from Universities in the United Kingdom, Australia, Malaysia, Canada … etc visit our school throughout the year.
Intellectual growth
Intellectual challenge and personal growth will mark the two years in the Sixth Form. These two years will also be a time of unrivalled enjoyment among good friends and enthusiastic teachers.
Sixth Formers will have access to expertise in every area of their academic work.
As an international school, they will be part of a friendly community where people are accepted for who they are.
Responsibilities
Sixth Formers play an active part in school life and take considerable responsibility in the running of the school. They are seen as important and effective role models by the younger students. The atmosphere is busy- being a prefect, doing duties, belonging to and taking a leading role in teams and looking after younger girls. It creates a purposeful buzz and the sense of a community working together.
Beyond the Sixth Form
Students are given advice on how to complete CV's and Personal Statements. At the end of year 12 and beginning of year 13 students are guided through their UCAS applications for the United Kingdom and through other procedures for higher education in Australia, Canada, Malaysia... etc The timetable is made up of lessons in chosen subjects and free periods. Students are given both specific and general tasks to do outside the lessons. They need to organize their own time effectively and prioritize carefully, making sure that they have enough time to carry out research and to read about their subject.
