Parent Teacher Association

The Parent Teacher Association is a Committee of elected parents and teachers.

Our role is to provide a platform for dialogue with the school management on all matters relating to the welfare of the pupils and their surroundings.

The welfare of the students has always been our priority and we wish to have a very close relationship between parents, teachers and most importantly, the school management. This is maintained through regular committee meetings and the cooperation of our headmaster and his staff.

We host events and social funtions both for parents and children. The PTA Mayball is one of these functions and it is well known in Mombasa. Throughout the year we organize events like Pool Picnic, Treasure Hunt,
Fun Day and a Food Festival, where parents cook and share their own national dishes, bringing together an array of international cuisine.
Very well remembered also are the plays where parents, teachers and students have shown their acting talent on stage.

With the funds from these functions we buy supplementary equipment for the children of the school. In the last few years for example, we provided the park benches and tables where the students spend their break and lunchtime in the school garden, sportsequipment like table tennis tables, cricket equipment, volleyball designed for small children and for the Swimming Department noodles, boards and recently starting blocks.

The Art Department was supplied with aprons and different art materials.
Other Departments received TVs and DVD-Players as well as maps for our Geography excursions.

The Junior School has recently received tricycles and their own printer.

We helped to beautify our School Hall with new curtain and additional

chairs for the functions in the hall.

Our aim is also to support the school in teaching life skills by donating the prizes for Moral Development on Awards Evening and giving donations to the less fortunate in our community.

We show our appreciation to the groundstaff by giving a yearly award and by paying the school fees for the children of two members of the groundstaff.

If you have any queries or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us by email or by leaving a message in the office with Shashi.
