Comments from Sadhamini – Jupiter House Captain (Girls) Hi! I’m Sadhamini Weeraratna.  Although I joined The Mombasa Academy this academic year, I feel like I have been a member of the school for far longer.  As a new student I was assigned to Jupiter House and as the saying goes, ‘opportunity knocks once’.  I was selected to lead Jupiter House as House Captain.  I was honoured and felt humbled to have been granted the position, especially as I was new to the school.  However, I decided to be the best among the best.  With the permission of Mrs. Melsom (Head of House), I have been able to conduct House Assemblies.  This involves announcing House credit totals and awarding Credit Winner badges to winners in each of the age ranges, as well as giving advice and pep-talks to my fellow ‘House-mates’.‘A good leader is one who enjoys the successes of those amongst her.’As the first term progressed, Jupiter House remained in top position.  This gave me great pride and joy.  Our House members participated and performed well in all House competitions, all the time bearing in mind that ‘teamwork’ was our motto.  At the end of Term1, Jupiter was declared the credit winner.

I believe that all members of Jupiter House share great potential and have got what it takes to keep the House flag flying high.  ‘Bring on Term 2!’

Hi! I’m Vishal Gor.  The minute I joined The Mombasa Academy I knew Jupiter House was the House for me.  Throughout my life here, I have had great respect for my House and the many opportunities it has offered me to take part in a variety of aspects of school life.  I’ve always appreciated the chance to play and participate in all inter-house activities.  Jupiter House is full of great people and the team–spirit brings the best out in everyone.  After my appointment as House Captain, I have noticed that everyone in Jupiter is unique, but we all come together and act as one.  Jupiter House is not the best option, it’s the only option!

Hi! I’m Josephine.  Jupiter House is one like no other!  The Jupiterians love sports, games, swimming and every other kind of activity.  We are always ready to engage in all extra-curricular activities and house competitions.  Every person’s effort and enthusiasm is acknowledged and appreciated in our House.  Sporting activities bring us closer together, not only as members of the Jupiter family but also as a part of something that is bigger than any one us, a part of the Jupiter legend of unity, empathy and championship.
