Year Nine's Guide to Kenya

In Term I of the 1999/2000 academic year, pupils in Year Nine were asked to produce a selection of web pages on places in Kenya. To find out what they wrote about this beautiful country - a land of endless, white, sandy beaches - a land of vast plains, highlands and valleys teeming with a rich variety of wildlife - just click in the menu on the left. KARIBU!

Tourism forms a vital part of Kenya's economy. It used to be Kenya's number one source of income. In the last few years it has declined, partly due to adverse publicity surrounding the political situation in Kenya, and the effects of El Nino. In 1999, however, tourism is once again picking up.
